Nora Neighborhood Ambassadors is a partnership of community organizations seeking to empower our neighbors to thrive physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. We stand with the vulnerable in our neighborhood, as with all our neighbors, and make visible the whole Gospel. While Nora Neighborhood Ambassadors is a faith-based group, we partner with many organizations in a common goal of seeking justice for those who have been denied it, and seeking the good (הצדקה-hatzedka) of all.

How We Started

Neighborhood Ambassadors began out of Faith Church and a 10 year study on biblical theology and the story of justice in the Bible. As we looked for ways to apply what we had learned, we saw that we only needed to go as far as across the street. The apartment complex that had housed many of our immigrant neighbors was denying access to livable, safe, affordable and dignified housing. We began to partner with other community organizations and churches who had also been seeking justice for our neighbors. We began to advocate for housing issues, which gave rise to recognizing other ways we could stand with our neighbors - social service and food needs,and education.
